INTRO
You are trapped in a building, with apparently no way out. Use your brain-power, as well as your Spidey-Sense, to escape your predicament, find all 18 hidden gems and solve the mystery of the Questprobe.
Remember to SAVE GAME often! If you make a mistake, simply RESTORE GAME.
GROUND FLOOR - CORRIDOR
You begin your adventure in a corridor on the Ground Floor of a strange building. READ SIGN on the wall. Try to SHOOT WEB, but you don't have any web fluid. You'll have to find a lab, so you can make some. Go W(est) into Sandman’s office.
GROUND FLOOR - SANDMAN’S OFFICE
L(ook) around the office. All the office furniture has been removed. All that remains, is a crib in the corner, and some sand on the floor. LOOK CRIB to see a formula. Try to GET FORMULA, but the sand on the floor turns into Sandman, and he prevents you from getting the formula. TALK SANDMAN to learn that he has a GEM. Sandman is still preventing you from getting to the crib, so let’s try another way. Go E(ast), back to the corridor.
GROUND FLOOR - CORRIDOR
CLIMB CEILING, then go W(est) into Sandman’s office.
GROUND FLOOR - SANDMAN’S OFFICE
Since you are on the ceiling, Sandman won’t know you are here. LOOK CRIB to see a formula, then GET FORMULA. LOOK CRIB again to see gem, then GET GEM. You now have Sandman’s gem. That’s all you can do in here, so go E(ast) back to the corridor.
GROUND FLOOR - CORRIDOR
You are still on the ceiling. To get back to the floor, simply GO FLOOR again. Now go E(ast) into the Waiting Room.
GROUND FLOOR - WAITING ROOM
L(ook) around the Waiting Room. There’s a Lift here that can take you to different floors in the building. But since you’re not finished exploring the Ground Floor yet, just ignore the Lift for now. Go W(est) back to the corridor.
GROUND FLOOR - CORRIDOR
Walk N(orth) to the next section of the corridor.
SAVE GAME here. LOOK WEST into another abandoned office, but DON’T enter the office! There is a Natter Egg and a Bio Gem in the office. You’re not ready to deal with the Natter Egg yet - if you go near it, it will explode, destroying the Bio Gem, and killing you in the process! Go E(ast) into Hydro-Man’s office.
GROUND FLOOR - HYDRO-MAN’S OFFICE
Hydro-Man is in this office, along with an aquarium. TALK HYDRO-MAN to learn that he has GEM. LOOK AQUARIUM to see the gem in the water. Try to GET GEM FROM AQUARIUM, but Hydro-Man won't let you. How are you going to get past him? Let’s think about this. Hydro-Man is mostly water, so maybe you could find a way to freeze him? When you are ready, go W(est) back to the corridor.
GROUND FLOOR - CORRIDOR
Go N(orth) into Madame Web’s office.
GROUND FLOOR - MADAME WEB’S OFFICE
This is a strange room. Madame Web has set up home here. TALK MADAME WEB to learn that she can scan people. That could come in handy. Ask her to SCAN LIZARD, and she will tell you his chemical data (CaC03+HC1 - > CaC12+…). But… what does it mean? Also ask her to SCAN HYDRO-MAN - he‘s solid.
This room is also the place to store any GEMS you find. Simply DROP GEM, and repeat DROP GEM until you’re not carrying any. When you’re ready, go S(outh), back to the corridor.
GROUND FLOOR - CORRIDOR
Go S(outh), then S(outh) again, so you‘re in Lizard‘s office.
GROUND FLOOR - LIZARD’S OFFICE
TALK LIZARD to learn that he has a GEM. But you have no clue how to get it yet, so just go N(orth) to leave the room.
GROUND FLOOR - CORRIDOR
Okay, you’ve explored the Ground Floor, and done what you can for now. Let’s go on up to the 1st Floor. Go E(ast) into the Waiting Room.
GROUND FLOOR - WAITING ROOM
L(ook) around the room, then PUSH CALL BUTTON. Nothing happens. Looks like you’ll have to do this the hard way. OPEN DOOR to open the Lift door, then GO SHAFT to enter the Lift shaft.

LOOK SHAFT to see some tool niches. LOOK NICH to find a GEM. Now climb U(p) to the next level.
LOOK NICH again to find another GEM. Go W(est) to see Mysterio running past.
1ST FLOOR - WAITING ROOM
What was Mysterio doing here? Very strange! Anyway, let’s get on with exploring. EXAMINE MIRROR to see your reflection. Now go W(est), so you are on the wall outside the building.
1ST FLOOR - OUTSIDE
Have a L(ook) around. Something is stopping you from climbing U(p) or D(own), so all you can do is return E(ast) into the Waiting Room.
1ST FLOOR - WAITING ROOM
Go E(ast) into the Lift Shaft.
LIFT SHAFT
Climb U(p) to the next level of the Lift Shaft.
LOOK NICH to find another GEM. Go W(est) into the 2nd Floor Waiting Room.
2ND FLOOR - WAITING ROOM
Nothing you can do here. Go W(est) into the corridor.
2ND FLOOR - CORRIDOR
Go W(est) into the Computer Lab.
2ND FLOOR - COMPUTER LAB
L(ook) around the Room. Ringmaster is here, and he seems to be guarding a knob in the wall. TALK RINGMASTER - he tells you that to defeat him, all you have to do is to PUSH KNOB then TURN KNOB. Of course, nothing is ever that easy! As soon as you touch the knob, Ringmaster tells you to leave!
2ND FLOOR - CORRIDOR
How are you going to deal with Ringmaster? Mmm, if you can’t really see him, maybe he’s not really there? It’s worth a shot. CLOSE EYES, so you can’t see anything. Now go W(est) into the Computer Lab.
2ND FLOOR - COMPUTER LAB
Since you’re eyes are closed, you can’t see Ringmaster. Let’s follow his directions now. PUSH KNOB, and then TURN KNOB. You hear a ‘click’. OPEN EYES to see that Ringmaster is gone! Yippee! L(ook) around the room to see a GEM. GET GEM, then go E(ast) to the corridor.
2ND FLOOR - CORRIDOR
Go S(outh) into an Abandoned Office.
2ND FLOOR - ABANDONED OFFICE
This office appears to be empty at first glance, but L(ook) around to see some chemicals that have been left behind. GET ACID GET CALCIUM. GET POWDERS. There’s nothing else here, so go N(orth) to the corridor again.
2ND FLOOR - CORRIDOR
Go N(orth) into the Chem Lab.
2ND FLOOR - CHEM LAB
This would be a good place to make some web fluid. Sadly, you don’t know how to make web fluid yet. L(ook) around the room if you like. Hmm, there’s no chemicals in the Chem Lab! How strange! When you’re ready, go S(outh) to the corridor.
2ND FLOOR - CORRIDOR
Go E(ast) to the Waiting Room.
2ND FLOOR - WAITING ROOM
Go E(ast) into the Shaft.
LIFT SHAFT
Try to climb U(p), but something stops you. LOOK UP to see bottom of the Lift. PUSH UP to push the Lift upwards. Now climb U(p) to the next Floor.
LOOK NICH to find a GEM. Go W(est) into the Penthouse.
3RD FLOOR - PENTHOUSE
Wow! This is what I call luxury! LOOK DESK and OPEN DESK to find a GEM. LOOK PAINTING on the wall, then GET PAINTING. REMOVE FRAME of the painting to find a torn piece of paper. READ PAPER to learn that it’s part of the web formula you need. This completes the formula you already had, so you can now make some web fluid. Yippee! Now LOOK THERMO to see that the temperature is 71. If you could lower the temperature, it might be easier to deal with Hydro-Man on the Ground Floor. Okay, LOWER THERMO, then LOWER THERMO again. The temperature should now be set at 31. That should be cool enough! Let’s go make some web fluid, then pay a visit to Hydro-Man. Go E(east) to enter the Lift Shaft.

Go D(own) to the level below.

2ND FLOOR - WAITING ROOM
Go W(est) to the corridor.
2ND FLOOR - CORRIDOR
Go N(orth) to the Chem Lab.
2ND FLOOR - CHEM LAB
The first thing you have to do in here, is to make some calcium chloride, which you can use to deal with Lizard. So MIX ACID AND CALCIUM CARBONITE to make calcium chloride, then GET CALCIUM CHLORIDE. Now simply MAKE WEB to make your web fluid. You’re only partially successful, but it’s enough to get by. That's all you can do here. Go S(outh) into the corridor.

Go E(ast) to enter the Lift Shaft.

Climb D(own), and then D(own) again, so you are at the Ground level.

GROUND FLOOR - HYDRO-MAN’S OFFICE
L(ook) around the office. Since you lowered the temperature in the Penthouse, Hydro-Man has turned into an ice statue, and the aquarium has become a block of solid ice! You should take advantage of this. GET ICE STATUE (frozen Hydro-Man), but leave the ice block (frozen aquarium) for now. Leaving the ice block here, will save you some time later on. Now go W(est) to the corridor.

Remember, this is where you can store all your gems. DROP GEM, and repeat DROP GEM, until you’re not carrying any. Now go S(outh) to leave her office.

Go W(est), so you are on the side of the building.
1ST FLOOR - OUTSIDE
Have a L(ook) around. Something is stopping you from climbing U(p) or D(own). JUMP UP to get to the office ceiling.
1ST FLOOR - OFFICE CEILING
There is a mesh nearby, and strange mist below you. OPEN MESH, then GO DUCT to enter air duct.
1ST FLOOR - AIR DUCT
You’re in the huge air duct now. There is a huge fan blocking your way. L(ook) around, and GET GEM from the duct. LOOK FAN to see that it rotates at 500 RPMS. If you could stop the fan blades from spinning, you might be able to squeeze through. You also see a button beyond the fan. SHOOT WEB AT FAN, then LOOK FAN to see that it is only rotating at 400 RPMS now. SHOOT WEB AT FAN again, then LOOK FAN again. It’s spinning at 300 RPMS now. Repeat the process of SHOOT WEB AT FAN and LOOK FAN, until it’s rotating at only 50 RPMS. The fan blades are spinning slower, but you still can’t get through. Okay then, SHOOT WEB AT BUTTON. The fan has finally stopped spinning. GO FAN to step through the blades, and find yourself in a maze of air ducts.
AIR DUCT MAZE
You’re in a maze of air ducts, and you’re completely confused! SAVE GAME here, in case you get lost. L(ook) around, and GET GEM, then climb D(own) and continue D(own) until you reach the basement.
BASEMENT - PRINTING PRESS
Doctor Octopus and Electro are here. They are dangerous men, and you need to deal with them quickly. GET DOC to grab one of his arms, then HIT ELECTRO. Electro shoots a beam at you, but it bounces of Doctor Octopus's long arm, and stuns them both. LOOK DOC to find a GEM. LOOK ELECTRO to find a GEM. LOOK PRINTING PRESS to see that it has stopped. Try to START PRESS, but it is controlled by computer. Now where could the computer be? Of course! It’s in the Computer Lab on the 2nd Floor. Let's head back up there now.
Climb U(p) into the Air Duct Maze.
AIR DUCT MAZE
Continue U(p) until you reach the fan. GO FAN, to climb back through it.

Go D(own) to leave the air duct.
1ST FLOOR - OFFICE CEILING
JUMP DOWN from the ceiling.
1ST FLOOR - OUTSIDE
You’re outside the building again, and you‘re floating in the sky. FEEL NORTH - you feel a door. You automatically go through the door, to find yourself in an abandoned office.

The office is empty. GET GEM, then go S(outh).

L(ook) around the room, and GET GEM. READ DIAL on the scale. You know that you need the dial to show 950 pounds, before the printing press will work. DROP PAINTING, DROP MESH, DROP ICE STATUE. Now READ DIAL on the scale again - it’s still not enough! Let’s go and find more stuff. Go E(ast) to the Printing Press.

Remember, you lowered the temperature earlier on? Well, now you need to raise it again. RAISE THERMO, so it shows 51. The ICE BLOCK you’re carrying will turn back into an aquarium. LOOK AQUARIUM to see a GEM in the water, then GET GEM FROM WATER. Now GET COUCH to pick up the settee, GET CLOCK, and GET DESK. That’s all you can get from here, go go E(ast) into the Lift Shaft.

You should have enough stuff to active the Printing Press now, so let’s head back there. Go D(own), and then D(own) again.

You know that the Printing Press needs 950 pounds in order to work. Yippee! When you’re ready, go E(ast) to the Printing Press.

The puzzle gives a cryptic clue about a gem - “A gem is in reverse new type”. Okay, let‘s go and solve it. Go U(p) into the Air Duct.

LOOK WEST into the office, but DON‘T go into this office. You can see the BIO GEM in the room. But there’s also a deadly Natter Egg in the room, which will explode if you go near it. So you have to get the BIO GEM from a distance. SHOOT WEB AT BIOGEM to retrieve it safely. Now go N(orth) into Madame Web’s office.

DROP GEM, and repeat DROP GEM, until you don’t have any left.
Now check your SCORE, and if you have done everything correctly, the Chief Examiner will appear, and tell you the password MICAH.
